Help wanted...
Hi everybody!  I’m in charge of updating the brochures and pamphlets at our Catholic Students Association’s table (right now the selection is pathetic) and am struggling to find things via Google (one of these days religious companies will have operational, easy to navigate websites…until then, let’s pray for the Internet).  I’m interested in everything from basic...

God Answers.
Me: I feel so ugly, fat, and worthless..
God: You're beautiful, the perfect size, and you mean everything to me.
Me: I'm just so worried, and I can't sleep.. I'm exhausted.
God: Give me all your problems, and I will give you rest.
Me: I'm dirty, rotten, and I'll never be able to fix my mistakes.
God: I forgive you, I accept you. Come, I will give you freedom from your past!
Me: I can't do this anymore! My heart is broken.. I give up.
God: Hand me every piece of your heart, and I promise I will fix it.
Me: Nobody ever notices me.. I just wish someone cared.
God: I notice everything, and nobody will ever care about you like I do.
Me: Nobody loves me, and they never will!
God: I died for you, and have loved you with an everlasting love.

Mr. Harper, Christmas is about Christ, not promoting Canada’s economic recovery and job growth.  If you can manage an As-Salāmu Alaykum for Eid, a decent recitation of the origins of Chanukah and a reflection on the meaning of Diwali that doesn’t gloss over the religious origins of the holiday, perhaps next year you can drop the politically-correct act and deliver a real Christmas message.

I went to Mass with my grandparents today.  It’s the first time I’ve been to Mass with family members in 13 years.  It makes me sad that something that should be so natural makes me feel so uncomfortable.

It’s so easy to get lost in the middle of exams, and essays and caffeine-fuelled study sessions sandwiched between class and scraping up end-of-semester rent.  I find myself rushing through prayer or sitting dumb, thinking Jesus, I love You, but You know that I love You, so now what?  That is, when I sit still at all.  There’s the usual end-of-term literary readings, most of which...

oforganon: I get it—you’re a decent guy. I can even believe it. You’ve never raped anybody. You would NEVER rape anybody. You’re upset that all these feminists are trying to accuse you of doing something, or connect you to doing something, that, as far as you’re concerned, you’ve never done and would never…
